DAY 01: Arrival Cochin
On Arrival at Cochin Airport / Railway Station - You will be greeted by our representative and transfer to your hotel. A port town since early centuries, Cochin offers you some fascinating snippets of history and culture. Check in to Hotel at Cochin. Relax and unwind at the hotel. Today, go for an optional sightseeing tour to explore the many fascinating highlights of Cochin which include - The Jewish Synagogue in what is locally called the Jew Town, St. Francis Church which is the oldest European Church in India. Overnight stay at Hotel / Resort at Cochin.
DAY 02: Cochin - Munnar (130Km)
Today after breakfast check out from hotel. Drive to Munnar a hill station located 1600 meters above sea level. Once the summer resort of the erstwhile British administration in South India it still retains its colonial charm and is famous for its tea plantations, rolling hills, picture postcard hamlets and undulating valleys. Check into your hotel and unwind.
DAY 03: Munnar
Today you could take a visit to Tea Gardens, Mattupetty Lake, Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden, Rajamalai (home to the endangered Nilgiri Thar mountain goat amongst others), Wild Life Sanctuary. Overnight stay in Hotel.
DAY 04: Munnar - Periyar (Thekkady) (100Km)
After breakfast check out from hotel. Drive to Periyar an area known for its undulating hills, spice plantations. Check into your hotel. Elephant ride, over stay at hotel.
DAY 05: Periyar
After breakfast either have the rest of the day at leisure or go on a spice plantation tour where you will be enticed by not only the aroma of spices like cinnamon, cardamom, pepper and nutmeg but will also get to know how they are grown, harvested and processed before they reach the supermarkets. In the evening you could go for a boat ride where you will have the opportunity to sight elephants and other animals along the bank. One of the 27 tiger reserves in India, the Periyar valley in Thekkady is the oldest.
DAY 06: Periyar - Alappy (Houseboat) (164Km) - Kumarakom
Breakfast and check out from hotel. Drive to Alleppey and embark on your private houseboat and cruise on the Backwaters, a splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. Your houseboats or 'Kettuvalloms' are luxurious boats with well appointed bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. You can sunbathe on the deck or observe the palm fringed landscape from your cabins. Apart from the mesmerizing surroundings it's the life along the backwaters that makes this a fascinating experience.Overnight on board.
Day 07: Alappy - Kumarakam (30Km)
After breakfast disembark from houseboat at Kumarkam. Kumarakam is famous for lagoon and backwaters. Check in to hotel, relax unwind.
Day 08: Kumarakam
After breakfast visit to bird sanctuary. Kumarakom, one of the most popular and most beautiful backwater streches of Kerala. An exotic picnic spot, Kumarakom provides boating, fishing and sightseeing experience that are truly exhilarting. An exclusive attraction here is the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, which is an ornithologist's paradise. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 09: Kumarakam - Departure.(76Kms)
Check out from hotel and travel to Cochin Airport/Railway Station.
