Towards Destinations And Distance By Road


Arrive Guwahati and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon/Evening visit to the Kamakhya Temple, on Nilachal hill, 08 kms west of Guwahati city, is one of the most venerated shaktipeeths in India. The temple is dedicated to goddess Kamakhya an incarnation of Sati. It is on Nilachal hill, says the Shiva Purana, that the yoni or creative organ of Sati fell when Vishnu, in a bid to save the world from the Shiva’s tandava nrittya or dance of destruction, cut her dead body into 51 pieces with his suddarshan chakra. The garbhagriha deep inside the temple, marks the sacred spot and is kept covered with red silken cloth. O/n hotel.

Via Tezpur > Kaziranga 

Morning after breakfast drive to Kaziranga National Park, famous for its one horn Rhinos. Arrive Kaziranga and transfer to your hotel. Evening free. O/n hotel. Kaziranga National Park is spread over 850 sq kms across Golaghat, Nagaon and Sonitpur districts. Kaziranga National Park is also designated World Natural Heritage sites by UNESCO in 1985. Originally established as a reserve forest in 1908, Kaziranga was declared a sanctuary in 1916 to counter excessive poaching, especially of its most prized inhabitant, the rhinoceros.

Note: Kaziranga National Park is closed from 01st May – 31st Oct every year.

Via Tezpur > Kaziranga 

Morning after breakfast drive to Kaziranga National Park, famous for its one horn Rhinos. Arrive Kaziranga and transfer to your hotel. Evening free. O/n hotel. Kaziranga National Park is spread over 850 sq kms across Golaghat, Nagaon and Sonitpur districts. Kaziranga National Park is also designated World Natural Heritage sites by UNESCO in 1985. Originally established as a reserve forest in 1908, Kaziranga was declared a sanctuary in 1916 to counter excessive poaching, especially of its most prized inhabitant, the rhinoceros.

Kaziranga Safari

Early morning enjoy Elephant safari to visit central range of the park. Return back to your hotel for breakfast. After breakfast Jeep safari. Afternoon after lunch enjoys your last Jeep safari into the park. O/n Hotel.

Kaziranga > Mokochung

(About 200 Km/5-6 Hrs.)

After an early breakfast drive to Mokokchung This picturesque town is the cultural center of the Ao tribes. The Ao Nagas is famous for their colorful dances. One can have a beautiful view of Mokokchung town from the viewpoint at Town park. The main festivals of the Aos are Moatsu and Tsungremong celebrated during the first week of May and August respectively. The footprints of Jina and Ltiben-the Romeo and Juliet of the Aos are found on the rocks in several places in the Ao ranges. Arrive Mokokchung and transfer to your hotel.
After lunch visit Ungma village (8 kms/30 mins), the biggest Ao village and looks like an adjunct of Mokokchung town.
According to legend, the early Aos settled here first after coming from Chungliyimti. This village is many centuries old and can be of interest to people who have a desire to peep into Ao folklories, customs and traditions.

After breakfast drive to Tuophema village
We are in the land of Angami Nagas – great warriors among Nagas. After lunch further drive to the capital of Nagaland-Kohima. Arrive Kohima and transfer to hotel for overnight stay. If time permits visit The largest Cathedral church in entire North East India (3000 people can pray at a time).

Kohima > Imphal (100 Km)

Moring visit Second World War Cemetarory. Later drive to Imphal-capital of Manipur. Arrive Manipur and transfer to your hotel. If time permits visit Ima Market.

Imphal-Loktak Lake (50 Kms) > Churachandrapur (30 Km)

Morning after breakfast visit Loktak Lake– the largest freshwater lake, 48 kms. from Imphal city. Later drive further to Churachandrapur in South Manipur. The town’s population is made up of a number of communities were living together they called themselves Mizo-Zomi-kuki-Chin. These communities mainly belong to the Tibeto-Burman family.

After early breakfast a long drive to Champhai in Mizoram. Arrive Champhai and transfer to your Tourist lodge. Champhai, located on the Indo- Myanmar Border, about 7 hours drive from Aizawl city. Anupama Pal- It was her unique style of attracting inbound and domestic travellers for Mr. kanak Pal which inspired him to kick stat the new venture My trip to India and since then they both have been driving th4 bussiness ahead.
