Highlights of your Journey
Arrival Cochin
On Arrival at Cochin Airport / Railway Station – You will be greeted by our
representative and transfer to your hotel. Check in to Hotel at Cochin.
Relax and unwind. Today, go for an optional sightseeing tour to explore the
many fascinating highlights of Cochin which include – The Jewish Synagogue
in what is locally called the Jew Town, St. Francis Church which is the
oldest European Church in India, the Santa Cruz Basilica built in 1557 by
the Portuguese, the Dutch Palace and the 15th century Chinese fishing nets.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Cochin – Athirappally (80Kms) – Cochin
After breakfast drive to Athirapally and Vazhachal Waterfalls. The most
famous waterfalls of Kerala, Athirapally and Vazhachal are situated on the
Chalakudy River,which originates from the upper reaches of the western
Ghates.At the entrance to the Sholayar ranges is the largest waterfall in
Kerala, Athirappally, which stands tall at 80 feet. Just a short drive from
Athirappally, the Vazhachal waterfall is close to dense green forests that
are home to many endangered and endemic species of flora and fauna.This is
the only place in the Western Ghats where four endangered Hornbillspecies
are seen. Evening come back to hotel.

DAY 3
Cochin-Munnar
Today after breakfast check out from hotel. Drive to Munnar a hill station
located 1600 meters above sea level. Once the summer resort of the erstwhile
British administration in South India it still retains its colonial charm
and is famous for its tea plantations, rolling hills, picture postcard
hamlets and undulating valleys. Check into your hotel and unwind.
Munnar
Today you could take a visit to Tea Gardens, Mattupetty Lake, Dam, Echo
Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden, Rajamalai (home to the endangered
Nilgiri Thar mountain goat amongst others), Wild Life Sanctuary. Overnight
stay in Hotel.
DAY 5
Munnar – Periyar (Thekkady) (100kms)
After breakfast check out from the hotel. Visit the tea museum, take a short
trip to the Eravikulam National Park or simply walk through the tea estates.
Drive to Periyar an area known for its undulating hills, spice plantations,
and elephant sightings. One of the 27 tiger reserves in India, the Periyar
valley in Thekkady is the oldest. Check into your hotel.
Periyar – Alappuzha (Alappy) (164Kms) – Kumarakom (30Kms)
Breakfast and check out from hotel. Drive to Alleppey and embark on your
private houseboat and cruise on the Backwaters, a splendid area full of
canals, lakes and coves. Your houseboats or ‘Kettuvalloms’ are luxurious
boats with well appointed bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms.The meals will be
served in the boat at free of coast. You can sunbathe on the deck or observe
the palm fringed landscape from your cabins. Apart from the mesmerizing
surroundings it’s the life along the backwaters that makes this a
fascinating experience. Overnight on board.
DAY 6
Kumarakom – Departure (76Kms)
After breakfast disembark from houseboat and travel to Cochin
Airport/Railway Station.
